Basic Safety Tips for Home

• Store all toxic substances out of reach of children
• Store all toxic substances in high cabinets with locks
• Store all toxic materials in their original containers
• Return all medications to their proper storage places
• Remember: all cleaning agents are potentially toxic

The areas below are the most common trouble spots for accidental poisonings.

If you answered "NO" to any of the following questions, you will want to correct the situation in order to avoid any possible accidental poisoning.

• Do all harmful products in your cabinets have child resistant caps?
• Are all potentially harmful products in their original containers?
• Are all harmful products stored away from food?
• Have all harmful products been put up high in a locked cabinet, out of sight and out of reach of children?
• Are medicines put away in a locked cabinet and not laying on night stands?
• Have your thrown out all out of date prescriptions?
• Are all medications in their original containers with original labels?
• Have you made sure that all poisons are not stored in drinking glasses or soda bottles?

·         Because we live in a desert environment we are faced with pests that may be harmful, such as Scorpions, Aggressive Bees and other stinging insects as well as Snakes.

·         Always be aware of your environment – look before you step.

·         Never leave shoes outside.

·         Always shake shoes and look inside before putting them on.

Always contact a professional for BEE Control – Do not attempt to do it yourself.  Most bees in our area are now Aggressive Bees and they will attack in force if provoked.  Don’t take a chance and put yourself, your family, neighbors and pets at risk!
