The areas below are the most common trouble spots for accidental poisonings. If you answered "NO" to any of the following questions, you will want to correct the situation in order to avoid any possible accidental poisoning.
- Do all harmful products in your cabinets have child resistant caps?
- Are all potentially harful products in their original containers?
- Are all harmful products stored away from food?
- Have all harmful products been put up high in a locked cabinet, out of sight and out of reach of children?
- Are medicines put away in a locked cabinet and not laying on night stands?
- Have your thrown out all out of date prescriptions?
- Are all medications in their original containers with original labels?
- Have you made sure that all poisons are not stored in drinking glasses or soda bottles?
